What’s the role?
This is an exciting new opportunity at CAVU as we look for an experienced M&A Manager to join our growing, dynamic M&A team. Working closely with the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, you’ll be responsible for helping to deliver our global inorganic growth strategy, shaping the future of CAVU through strategic acquisitions.
You’ll contribute to all phases of the buy-side M&A process, from identifying and evaluating acquisition targets to successful deal execution and post-deal integration. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your M&A expertise within a high-growth, innovative business.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Target Identification:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential acquisition targets.
- Develop appraisal criteria and analyse targets to assess their suitability.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential targets and manage a pipeline of opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
Deal Execution:
- Support all aspects of transaction execution, including preparing key documents (e.g., offer letters, board updates).
- Maintain valuation metrics and manage requests across multiple parties.
- Conduct detailed financial and commercial analysis, including reviewing due diligence reports and business plan modelling.
- Lead general project management to keep deal timelines on track, coordinating with advisors and internal stakeholders.
Post-Deal Integration:
- Develop and project-manage integration plans, working with internal teams to execute 100-day plans.
- Ensure successful integration of acquisitions by driving timelines, realizing synergies, and managing any post-deal issues.
About You:
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years of M&A or equivalent experience (lead advisory, corporate finance, or transaction services).
- Strong financial analysis and accounting knowledge, with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Financial modelling expertise and a logical, problem-solving approach.
- Qualified in accountancy or corporate finance (e.g., ACA, CFA), or with significant relevant experience.
Desirable:
- Experience in deal structuring and post-deal integration.
- Project management experience across internal and external stakeholders.
