  • £29,855 per annum (inclusive of 17.5% shift allowance)
  • Permanent - Full-time (42 Hours) 4 on 4 off rota, regular pattern of days/nights
  • Shifts will be varied and cover a 24/7 operation (including weekends and bank holidays)

The role

 

Our Airport Resilience Operatives provide the flexibility and support to maintain a positive experience for our passengers and will include a range of duties across the airport. Every shift is different with our operatives working alongside our landside, terminal, baggage and airfield operations. Duties include:
 

  • Moving baggage from aircraft and apron stands to baggage halls (including airside driving)
  • On-loading and off-loading baggage to/from baggage system belts
  • Vehicle Movement (Car Park - Drop & Go operation)
  • Snow Fleet Support
  • Assisting Security Operations (Tray Loading/Movement)
  • Customer Experience Duties (Check-in, Departure Lounge & Immigration)
  • Supporting PRM (Passengers with Reduced Mobility) Operations
  • Other duties that support the delivery of a positive passenger experience, including supporting 3rd party airport companies.
  • Respond to any queries from airport users, providing an informative, courteous and helpful customer service 

What will make you successful in the role?

 

  • Be a careful and experienced driver with 2+ years of driving experience and no more than 3 penalty points on your UK Driving Licence
  • Be comfortable driving both manual and automatic vehicles
  • Ability to lift up to 32kg in weight due to the physically demanding nature of the role
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Prepared to work in all weather conditions
  • Communicate directly and clearly to both colleagues and passengers
  • Be able to work both individually and with other members of the team
  • Have a strong teamwork ethic
  • Be confident in working in a fast-paced customer facing environment
  • Take pride in providing a first-class customer service 
  • Be successful in carrying out multitasking duties
