The PMO Finance Analyst role
This is a finance focussed role within the PMO team to process and report on MAG’s Group Capital Plan. The role is responsible for working with the Finance department to manage, process and report on the monthly capitalisation of MAG’s resources and to analyse project financials to provide oversight and reporting of MAG’s Group Business Plan (£30m). The scope of the role includes the management and processing of capitalisation for c.250 people and the financial tracking and reporting of over 75 projects in the Technology Portfolio. Reporting into the Senior PMO Analyst you’ll be responsible for:- Financial Management (providing the overall view of the Capital Plan for Directors, MAG Finance; managing payment tracking and cash-flow forecasting for monthly accrual purposes and providing the cash flow projections to Finance). Financial “month end” Processing (running SAP reports/queries to validate outputs and building the knowledge to become a SAP point of contact in the department). Capitalisation of Resources (management of timesheets across the department of c.250 people; providing Finance with an accurate resource booking to allow for capitalisation to the value of £10m per annum). Project Financial Closure (ensuring all payments are finalised and the relevant project codes are closed on project completion and the delivered assets are recorded as per MAG’s accounting standards). Submit Claims and complete audits (complete claim submissions (every other year) to support external funding and to work with auditors to provide the required evidence to support the claims).
 
What will make you a successful PMO Finance Analyst?
If you’re someone who is numerically strong who is keen to use these strengths as a foundation to progress a career in PMO then this could be the ideal role for you.
You’ll be highly organised, with the ability to manage several tasks and deadlines at any one time. You’ll be a natural for numbers with the energy and enthusiasm to grasp opportunities to grow a career by making a difference and playing your role in delivering successful outcomes for MAG. You’ll have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a strong administrative role, with a good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint. You’ll be able to demonstrate financial understanding and have an excellent attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent analytical skills.
