The role


MAG is looking for an experienced project manager based at Manchester Airport to help us in a change transformation journey. In this role, you will support, monitor and ensure we deliver projects across the Airport.  The wider scope of this role involves assisting the Change People Partner in setting up and implementing a governance and control framework to facilitate the execution of key strategic initiatives and provide a coherent view of the People projects roadmap and playing a significant operational role in the collective consultation process with our trade unions in the relevant forums.  When you aren’t busy with projects and workload allows, you will work alongside the People team supporting managers in generalist ER case work. Some of your duties will include...

•    Establishing and maintaining a project delivery and governance framework to ensure a systematic and prioritised way to manage the people element of projects. 
•    Project planning and tracking methods. 
•    Creating and maintaining a project reporting dashboard to show agreed KPIs. 
•    Identifying and reporting project risks and issues, risk mitigation strategies and resource capacity. 
•    Ensuring each project has a current, realistic resource schedule in place to accommodate changes and conflicting priorities.

What will make you successful in the role?

 

To be successful in this role you’ll have...

  • Experience of managing multiple milestone projects in a fast paced and pressured environment
  • A good working knowledge of Project Management
  • Experience of delivering projects in a HR environment, ideally
  • Experience of developing structured ways of working and processes
  • Effective communicator and influencer skills, with the ability to quickly build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Effective IT skills and be a proficient user of Microsoft packages including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams
  • Have a great working knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Have some experience of managing ER cases and experience of working with Trade Unions is highly desirable but not essential.
