The role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the MAG’s Group Planning Services function, providing first-class support to the Planning Manager and team to support the smooth running of the function.

You will have accountability for developing and interpreting planning & aviation law and policy ensuring that the group’s plans and developments are aligned accordingly. You will also contribute to the formulation of airport Master Plans, strategies and land use studies across MAG and provide support when required to other corporate strategies to help deliver future growth of our business. Your role will also entail evaluating and responding to external planning applications, development plans, and policy statements while prioritising MAG’s interests in all decisions made.

Additionally, the Planner role is integral to the development and sustainability of our working relationships with various stakeholders. You will confidently deal with both internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and provide a customer and market driven approach to a range of land use planning solutions.

What will make you successful in the role?

You will have a degree in town and country planning or a closely related discipline and be working towards MRTPI or equivalent qualification. Due to the complex nature of the role, previous experience in a similar planning role in either a local authority or the private sector is required.
