The role
As a Programme Delivery Manager, you will lead the delivery of projects within your programme, ensuring performance against cost, schedule, and quality targets while realising business case benefits.
You will plan and prioritise multiple projects, allocate resources effectively, and support business planning, while adopting an “Airport as the customer” approach to minimise operational disruption.
You will drive efficiency through smart resource use and project bundling, ensure Capex targets are met, and lead and develop a team of Project Managers to deliver successful outcomes.
What will make you successful in the role?
- Must have APMP PPQ or equivalent project management qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience of project delivery management & leadership in complex, operational, safety regulated environments
- Professional Body membership desirable – RICS/CIOB/ICE etc.
- Desirable – Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or equivalent programme management qualification.
- Strong stakeholder management skills; able to engage and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder demands.
- Experience leading on managing 3rd party approvals (eg Planning, Property, Legal).
- Proven commercial acumen – ability to contribute to building and presenting a credible CAPEX business case.
- Team leadership, delivery through others, influencing without direct control.
- Project development from explore through to handover.
- Greenfield and brownfield project delivery in mature assets.
- University Degree and Chartered Engineer/Survey/Project Professional Status preferred.
