The role
MAG’s F&A Team are currently recruiting for an F&A Accountant to join on a permanent basis. This role will provide support to the F&A Finance Manager who is responsible for leading all Management Accounting activity for the CAVU Experiences Division ensuring that accurate, technically robust managements accounts are produced in a timely manner and in line with group finance service levels.
- Assist the Finance Manager to lead the team.
- Support month end close process, ensuring that ledgers are closed to strict deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all aspects of the divisional accounts, calculate and post relevant journals to ensure the accounts are reflective of underlying financial performance.
- Experience in Capex accounting
- Assist the Finance Manager to ensure all monthly reports are timely and accurate.
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner, including review and sign off.
- Assist with delivery of group service levels and support KPIs to internal and external customers.
- Assist with provision of divisional accounts and support the Finance Directors and Finance Business Partners of the CAVU Experiences division.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist delivery of SLAs across Finance.
- Interact with transactional teams to aid continuous improvement.
What will make you successful in the role?
A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant experience of working within a management accounting environment. You will have significant experience of working within a General Ledger function and demonstrate leadership potential.
You will have ability to manage multiple priorities and to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations. Preferably, you should have experience of SAP or similar ERP systems, along with intermediate to advanced Excel skills. You’ll have ability to engage stakeholders and colleagues effectively to ensure processes are executed consistently and complied with. You’ll demonstrate the potential to manage change in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
