The role
In this F&A Accountant role in our Manchester based Finance team, you will support the CAVU Experiences division. The role is responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of all aspects of the divisional accounts, calculating and posting relevant journals to ensure the accounts are reflective of underlying financial performance.
You will be asked to assist with delivery of group service levels and support KPIs to internal and external customers.
Principle accountabilities will be
Propose recommendations for the continuous improvement, standardisation, and automation of processes to relevant team heads
Create efficiencies through the review of processes and procedures, adopting best practices where possible.
Ensure the appropriate application of accounting policies to produce technically robust management accounts.
Assist the finance manager to develop the finance team and manage internal and external relationships.
Assist with provision of divisional accounts and support the Finance Directors and Finance Business Partners of the CAVU Experiences division
Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Support the development of continuous improvement initiatives within the F&A team.
What will make you successful in the role?
Ideally you will fit the following criteria
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- An ambitious individual and team player with a “can do” attitude..
- Ability to actively engage business stakeholders and to respond to queries in a collaborative manner.
- Significant and relevant experience of working within a General Ledger function, at a similar level.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
- Experience of larger matrix style businesses
- Preferably experience of SAP or similar ERP systems, intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
