The role
Reporting to the Senior Retail Operations Manager, you’ll support the commercial operation at Manchester Airport in maintaining a strong relationship with new and existing retail partners to ensure a continual focus on guest experience, operational efficiency and standards across our estate of Retail and Food & Beverage units. The next 18 months will see a significant period of change for Manchester Airport as we open our new Terminal 2, and throughout this period you’ll support the Retail Operations Managers in the onboarding and mobilisation of our new retail partners whilst ensuring minimal disruption and continued engagement with our existing retail partners and units. Daily terminal walks and retail audits will be a key part of the role to help maintain a retail operations presence, and you’ll need to be able to cover early shifts (from 4am), late shifts (until 8pm) and weekend work in line with our terminal operating hours.
What will make you successful in the role?
We are looking for someone with experience working in busy Retail or Airport environment at a minimum of an Assistant Manager level. You’ll have commercial awareness with the ability to problem solve and work under pressure. You’ll also have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and work across functions.
