The role is responsible for managing all Management Accounting activities for the CAVU divisions, ensuring the timely production of accurate and technically robust management accounts, in alignment with group finance service levels. You will manage the finance managers of the two CAVU divisions, conducting one on one meetings and personal development plans. Establishing relationships with CAVU Finance Directors will be important, as will supporting internal and external stakeholders and ensure the meeting of agreed service level agreements (SLAs). You will need to oversee the month end process and be responsible for the delivery of group service levels and supporting KPI's.
Other principle accountabilities will include
Review systems to ensure accurate financial reporting, escalating any areas of concern to the Head of Finance & Accounting and divisional Finance Directors.
Assist the Head of Finance and Accounting in the delivery of SLA's across finance
Interact with the transactional teams to provide feedback on issues and areas of continuous improvement.
Work with the Head of Finance to ensure all costs captured in head office are appropriate and understood.
Cultivate a continual improvement mindset within your team & the wider group finance team.
You will need to be a qualified accountant or QBE with a minimum of 5 years PQE - to include the preparation and review of management accounts. You must have people management experience, and be able to demonstrate & discuss your leadership style. Engaging stakeholders should be second nature, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities, and work well under tight deadlines and high pressure situations. Experience of a General Ledger function, SAP or similiar ERP systems, and intermediate to advanced Excel skills are also required. Lastly, MAG is in a growth phase, and experience of managing change in a dynamic environment will be a very useful thing to have.
