The role
As a Senior Project Manager within the Transformation & Strategic Change Team at MAG, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our three major airports: Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver large-scale, complex projects that are critical to our business needs and strategic goals. In this dynamic role, you will:
- Drive Transformation: Lead transformative projects that enhance customer experience, operational functions, and overall airport performance.
- Strategic Oversight: Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Effective Planning: Utilise your planning skills to track and report on project progress, budgets and interdependencies.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues swiftly to ensure the seamless delivery of projects and programmes.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive project success and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

What will make you successful in the role?
You'll need to demonstrate experience of the following key skills:
- Project Management Expertise: Proven experience as a senior project manager, ideally with certification in PRINCE2 and/or APM.
- Business Transformation: Experience in delivering projects within large, complex business change and transformation environments (not necessarily in airports or aviation)
- Financial Acumen: Strong skills in financial planning and management to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and with impact at all levels of the organisation, ensuring alignment and understanding across stakeholders.
- Matrix Management: Previous experience in matrix management within large, complex organisations, demonstrating your ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
