The role
You’ll ensure the smooth transition of projects from delivery into BAU support and operation, and act as a quality gate between Project Delivery and Service Operations. You’ll successfully plan and manage a new or changed IT service into production within the predicted resource, cost, quality, and time estimates. You’ll ensure all parties adopt the common framework of standard re-usable processes and supporting systems to improve the effectiveness and efficiency and provide clear and comprehensive plans that enable the business change projects to align their activities with the service transition plans.
What will make you successful in the role?
You’ll have previous experience of transitioning multiple, complex IT products and services into an operational service. You’ll have a minimum qualification of ITIL Foundation, along with demonstrable experience of Service Transition best practice and principles. You’ll have effective organisation and planning skills and be able to manage several projects, at various stages, at once. You’ll be an effective communicator with effective relationship building, conflict resolution and influencing skills, adept at dealing with stakeholders up to senior leadership level, both internally and externally.
