About the role:

 

As a Strategy Analyst, you'll support the delivery of high-quality analysis and strategic insight that helps shape decision-making across MAG. Working primarily within the Corporate Strategy team, you'll also contribute to projects across Aviation Strategy & Insights and Forecasting, gaining exposure to a wide range of airport and commercial operations.

 

Key Responsibilities can vary from day to day and will include;

 

  • Analyse and interpret internal and external data, turning complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Support corporate strategy projects, including market analysis, airline performance reviews, economic trends, and industry research.
  • Contribute to passenger and cargo forecasting projects that support MAG's long-term investment and planning decisions.
  • Monitor aviation trends, passenger demand, flight schedules, airline performance, and route developments.
  • Conduct research into industry, consumer, and societal trends to support business cases and strategic planning.
  • Prepare reports and presentations, communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business, including Finance, Aviation, and Corporate Affairs.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, analysis, and business processes.

What will make you successful?

 

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about turning data into meaningful insight. You'll be comfortable working with both quantitative and qualitative information, taking a logical and analytical approach to challenges while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be required to present complex findings in a clear and engaging way to a variety of audiences, from operational stakeholders through to senior leadership.

 

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent analytical experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and translate data into practical business insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong numerical and quantitative skills, with great attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualisation and analysis tools such as Power BI would be advantageous.
