The Role:

 

As a Systems Analyst in our MAG Digital Products and Services team, you’ll contribute to the Infrastructure product area working alongside a team of Infrastructure Architects, Platform Engineers and System Analysts. You’ll champion common use infrastructure products across our large campus sites and cover the key products in our tower including Video Management / CCTV, Voice services, commercial and critical connectivity to support our airport partners and digitisation projects and programmes across our airports for our most demanding business challenges. Working alongside our Platform, Airport and Group Function Product Managers, you will understand how the current infrastructure constraints and issues fit into a roadmap alongside strategic infrastructure product development that is driven by MAG business goals and objectives. You’ll guide solution thinking and define technical requirements alongside the architects to ensure the best fit solution, in terms of reliability, scalability, security and cost effectiveness in support of the desired business outcome.

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

System Analysis and Evaluation

 

• Conduct through analysis of existing systems and infrastructure and collaboration with

Infrastructure Technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify areas for improvement

and optimisation.

• Evaluate and define system requirements, specifications and business needs to support

in the recommendation of appropriate technology solutions.

 

Infrastructure Design and Implementation

 

• Work collaboratively with Infrastructure Technical SMEs to support the design and

implementation of infrastructure solutions, across on-premise, cloud and network

platforms, to support MAG technology focussed change projects and programmes,

contributing to MAGs overall business goals and objectives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, across the CIO department and Operational

airport teams where applicable, to ensure seamless integration of new systems with

existing infrastructure and support successful handover into Business-As-Usual (BAU)

state.

 

Security and Compliance

 

• Perform analysis to support the assessment and enhancement of the security of MAG

infrastructure, to protect against potential threats and vulnerability.

• Support the compliance with regulator and industry standards related to Airport IT

Systems infrastructure through identification of applicable systems requirements,

ensuring these are defined, validated, and delivered as part of any infrastructure

change.

 

Documentation and Reporting

 

• Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, processes,

procedures and system requirements to the required MAG technical and analysis

standards.

• Generate regular reports and analysis to demonstrate system performance, compliance

and any recommended improvements or to contribute to the overall system analysis

related to the introduction of new infrastructure.

 

Collaboration and Communication

 

• Collaborate with stakeholders across MAG, at both technical and non-technical level, to

ensure successful project outcomes and system integration.

• Communication effectively with various stakeholders, translating technical information

into understandable terms for non-technical individuals.

 

 

What will make you successful in the role?

 

  • Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or Senior Engineering
  • with an emphasis on on-premise, cloud and network infrastructure technical background
  • and knowledge.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Infrastructure certifications like CompTIA Network+, Cisco's CCNA, VMware Certified
  • Professional (VCP), AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator Associate.
  • System Analysis: Ability to analyse current systems and processes to identify
  • improvements.
  • Broad Infrastructure Knowledge: In-depth understanding of infrastructure components
  • (servers, networks, storage, cloud services, etc.).
  • Technical Documentation: Ability to create clear and detailed reports and documentation
  • of systems and infrastructure.
  • Critical Thinking: The ability to think critically and make decisions based on a combination
  • of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide effective
  • solutions.
  • Data Analysis: Skills in analysing data trends to help in decision-making and system
  • improvements.
  • Business Analysis: Understanding of business processes and how they integrate with IT
  • infrastructure.
  • Planning and Organization: Ability to plan and manage the structure projects and work
  • packages.
  • Risk Management: Skills in identifying and mitigating potential risks related to
  • infrastructure systems and security.
