The Role

This position is a 18-month apprenticeship leading to a HR Support Level 3 qualification. On-the-job practical training will be provided alongside a comprehensive training plan that, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, could lead to a permanent role within the People function.

The Talent Apprentice takes a key role in helping our Talent and Diversity team run smoothly, getting involved in everything from welcoming new starters to supporting their growth and development. You’ll gain real, hands‑on experience by organising activities, supporting projects, and using digital tools — all while building valuable skills and helping to create a great experience for candidates and colleagues.

During the programme, you will:

 

  • Co-ordinate and schedule training programmes, ensuring appropriate resources are available to aid smooth delivery
  • Facilitation responsibilities such as room bookings, training materials, and delivery support.
  • Plan onboarding schedules in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Development teams.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to support delivery of their talent plans and updating them on progress and priorities.
  • Respond to Talent & Diversity Team Enquiries via Microsoft Teams and email.
  • Support the upkeep of the Learning Management System, including content allocation, updating learning profiles and admin tasks.
  • Monitor mandatory e‑learning completion rates and support accurate reporting of these.
  • Produce reports and track key learning and recruitment metrics.
  • Collect and analyse feedback from training and recruitment activities through surveys.
  • Suggest and support process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide administrative support, including invoice processing and project coordination.
  • Support events with on-the-ground assistance when needed.
  • Actively participate in learning opportunities to build knowledge of talent systems and processes.
  • Take part in team meetings, projects, and initiatives across the talent lifecycle.
  • Carry out additional duties that contribute to the wider Talent & Diversity team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 (ideally including English & Maths)
  • Live in England and have the right to work in the UK (Government funding requirement)
  • Able to travel to Manchester Airport with occasional visits to East Midlands and London Stansted airports as required
