The Role
MAG is seeking a Technical Product Owner to play a key role in shaping the future of our technology solutions. You will drive the development, optimisation, and delivery of products that support MAG’s strategic vision, ensuring they are scalable, high-performing, and customer-focused.
Working closely with Product Managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders across the business, you’ll translate complex requirements into clear technical deliverables. You will manage and prioritise the product backlog, oversee technical delivery, and champion agile ways of working to ensure successful product outcomes.
This role will also see you monitoring product performance, gathering feedback, and continuously improving products to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
What will make you successful in the role?
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of product ownership expertise, technical background, and strong collaboration skills. You will:
- Have proven experience delivering successful technology products, managing backlogs, and defining user stories.
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of software development, architecture, APIs, and cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure).
- Be highly proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies with hands-on experience using tools such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
- Show strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical feasibility and business priorities.
- Have excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Bring strong problem-solving, analytical, and customer-focused skills.
- Be committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and staying on top of emerging technologies.
- Experience with security, compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001), and enterprise-level platforms such as ServiceNow or Maximo will be highly beneficial.
