The role

As an Engineer at Manchester Airport, you’ll proactively ensure the Airports engineered systems, equipment, services and facilities remain operational within specified safety, legislative, quality, environmental and performance standards and targets. You’ll undertake planned and reactive maintenance work on airport infrastructure to ensure optimum availability and serviceability of assets which meets agreed service levels and provides a trouble-free operational environment for our customers.

 

You’ll maximise personal capabilities to achieve minimum disruption and downtime in line with service level agreements and other performance standards, whilst achieving and maintaining the competence and knowledge required for the job and mentoring and coaching others where appropriate to ensure technical knowledge is shared between engineering colleagues.

What will make you successful in the role?

We are looking some someone with a professional Engineering qualification in Electrical/Electronic with ONC minimum and HNC/HND preferred. You’ll be a qualified Technician with multi skills and have ideally served a recognised apprenticeship, with a high level of Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical knowledge. You’ll need the ability to read and interpret electronic, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical schematic drawings, with the ability to carry out effective report writing utilising a suite of PC based Office applications, as well as the ability to utilise PC based systems to interrogate automated equipment and effectively diagnose faults. A full UK driving license is also essential for this role.
