The role

 

You will ensure the availability of passenger trolleys for all passengers travelling through Manchester Airport and providing all airport users with a friendly, informative and courteous service in accordance with established service levels and operating processes 
 
Principal Accountabilities:

 

  • To proactively collect and redistribute passenger baggage trolleys from/to various agreed locations within Manchester Airport in accordance with the agreed operating procedures, including but not limited to all terminals, railway station, bus station and car parks  
  • To collect and redistribute trolley’s on foot or using mobile trolley collection vehicles provided from outlying areas such as; bus & rail station, multi storey & surface car parks (public & staff) and remote locations such as airport hotels, outlying roads, etc, in accordance with agreed operating procedures   
  • Remain in radio contact with the Co-ordinators/Allocation Managers to raise awareness of specific issues, responding quickly to demand trends and instructions to ensure revenue opportunity is optimal. 
  • Ensure that vehicles and equipment associated with the delivery of the provision of the trolley service are placed on battery charge as and when required to mains.
  • Monitor the minimum stock levels of trolleys in essential areas to ensure the availability for passengers.
  • Respond to any queries from airport users, providing informative, courteous & helpful customer service.
  • Ensure that all health and safety standards are followed, thus striving to maintain a safe working environment at all times.  
  • Ensure all uniform is worn to the correct standards.

What will make you successful in the role?

 

  • A full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points is essential the role.
  • You must have the ability to work well as part of a team and flexibility with regard to working hours.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
