The Business

Part of MAG Group (the UK’s largest Airport Group), MAGO is a global organisation that provides revenue generating solutions for airports around the world. We have a large focus on digital technology and ecommerce - utilising advanced data insights, digital platforms, and new and emerging technologies to ensure that we remain an ever-evolving engine house of ideas and innovation. Our eCommerce platforms enable passengers traveling through an airport to book and pay for products from across the customer journey (parking, transfers, hotels etc).This provides enormous value for our airport clients in terms of revenue, as well as a seamless consumer and travel experience for their customers. We also provide other commercial services, for example revenue management and digital marketing to help them grow their business. Online product distribution is also a large part of our business. All in all – we focus on maximising non aeronautical revenue for our global airport clients.

 

The Role:

 

As one of our UX Designers, you will join a fast-paced business going through huge growth. You will deliver disruptive, user-centric and intuitive experiences across our digital platforms. Our approach to digital puts user needs at the heart of decision making. You will play a pivotal role in user research initiatives and will design experiences and services that exceed customers’ expectations. You will be experienced in using a variety of user research methods to reveal actionable insights and will have the ability to quickly develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative evidence.

 

You will take an inclusive and collaborative approach to designing simple digital experiences working closely with product leads, digital analysts and the wider development teams. In conjunction with MAG-O Product Leads you will run ideation and design workshops with enthusiasm and drive. You will understand our primary customer journeys and help build a clear picture of customer problems to create leading edge interaction and design whilst considering technical and performance constraints.

 

We create customer-centric and stress free digital travel experiences for our passengers. You will play a part in delivering a pragmatic and iterative approach to helping us realise and continue to improve on this vision, using lean, fail fast development approaches.

 

You:

 

You will already have proven experience as a digital designer. You may be coming from either a leading digital agency, or from an ‘in-house’ team, with significant experience of close collaboration with product owners and other stakeholders to deliver a product via an agile methodology, more specifically through the running of i.e. cross discipline ideation workshops and design sprints.

 

You will be up to date with the latest technology and have working knowledge of Sketch and prototyping tools such as Principle.

 

It is strongly preferred that you have worked previously within a very fast paced and demanding retail focused/ ecommerce environment. You must be the type of person who is able to drive your own workload, and proactively use insights to create improvements.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be full of ideas and willing to try new things. We aim to fail fast, learn and implement our learnings next time. Therefore, you will be given every opportunity to try new things and be creative. We don’t want the ‘same old’!
