Job Purpose

 

 

This role of the SEO Executive is to support the SEO Manager in delivering high quality search traffic to the websites of our partners and DTC brands.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

- Implementing best-practice SEO and continuously looking for new opportunities to improve both traffic and commercial performance.

 

- Using initiative to find the seek out the best opportunities and ‘quick wins’ in what can often be a busy working atmosphere.

 

- Collaborating with in house tech teams to ensure continuous improvement of CMS, for both user experience and functionality.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

 

  • Conduct keyword research and devise a keyword strategy, analysing the ranking potential of different keywords.
  • Write title tags and meta descriptions based on the keyword strategy, monitoring performance and making tweaks where necessary.
  • Report on a weekly and monthly basis, highlighting key areas of growth, opportunities and obstacles faced in a cohesive manner.
  • Inform on stand-ups, helping create more awareness of SEO and the potential implications of not following SEO best practice.
  • Conduct thorough competitor research, highlighting missed opportunities and providing an action plan to outperform competitors.
  • Monitor rankings, highlighting drops and improvements where relevant.
  • Review and analyse data in commonly used SEO tools- namely Screaming Frog, SEMrush, STAT, Ahrefs and Deepcrawl.
  • Suggest areas that can be improved, delivering change and reporting on progress.

 

 

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

 

  • 1-2 years hands on SEO experience

Experience driving growth to organic traffic by delivering change which positively impacts rankings.

A good understanding of changes to Google’s algorithm.

 

  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics & Google Search Console

 

Google Analytics IQ desired but not essential.

Knowledge and experience using Screaming Frog & Deepcrawl desired but not essential.

Ability to write copy desired but not essential.

 

  • Organised and able to multitask

Highly organised and able to work on multiple websites/projects simultaneously.

 

  • Commercially Focussed

Evidence of successfully meeting or exceeding set targets/KPIs.

 

  • Microsoft office

Excellent excel skills and competent using Word, PowerPoint and other relevant software packages.

 

  • Digital Marketing Landscape

An interest in continually learning about online marketing developments and opportunities.

 

  • Communication

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
