About Us

We’re a new company founded by Manchester Airport Group, so new that we haven’t launched our name yet, so for now call us NewCo.

Core to our growth strategy is major expansion both in terms of products and services within NewCo. The Technology strategy will play a major part in this as we look to build out a single platform, capable of supporting global scale. We’re looking for great people to build, support and evolve our new platform.

What we can tell you is we’re busy taking knowledge gained from multiple experienced airport services companies and using it to build a market leading platform for our partners from around the world to use.

Within the technology function, we’re looking for great people to build, support and evolve our new platform. We offer a fully remote working experience, latest technologies, and great personal development.

About You

As the Data team has evolved its data lake and warehouse to serve NewCo and our clients and partners, the need has arisen to bolster analytics functions across the business, especially in the realm of KPI dashboard reporting. As such the BI Analyst will work on developing existing visualisations and reports; including KPI and performance dashboards for the whole organisation, and build new dashboard capabilities to support the on-going units of NewCo, including Retail, Reservations, Web & Travel, Product Development, and Digital Marketing. We use a range of reporting tools, so exposure to various tools will be encouraged, including those providing real-time & streaming dashboarding technologies.

This is an opportunity to be part of an analytics team that reports on global activities for all corners of an international distribution business, and as such offers the chance to work with a whole range of different metrics and variables from domains such as web, airport, commercial/financial and more. You will be working in a team of BI developers, data engineers and data scientists, so will have exposure to a variety of disciplines and usecases.

 Essential Skills

  • Experience working with the team’s Data Engineers to identify required data to support dashboards
  • Engagement with stakeholders across NewCo, working with them to establish needs, requirements, and data availability
  • Experience working with a wide range of data sources such as CRM, retail, car parking, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, real-time telemetry data etc
  • Ensuring that data used for analysis and visualisation is correctly reconciled
  • Bringing best practise to the production of visualisations, providing stakeholders with efficient ways of analysing their data
  • Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, fault-tolerant and efficient
  • Show a high level of attention to detail in all work
  • Providing new ways of analysing and visualising information to give additional insight to teams, allowing them to understand trends and opportunities to generate incremental revenue
  • Understanding of SQL and Data warehouses, including the ability to run simple queries and understand the types of data structures used in a data warehouse
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence and reporting tools. Be comfortable managing a complex, dynamic backlog

Desirable Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical requirements and working with the team to produce high level technical solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Experience within Agile Software Development environments as a Business/Functional Analyst including associated tooling (Jira, Confluence)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both in a team and individually

We look forward to recieving your application.
