The role
To provide oversight of capacity analysis undertaken across the three airports. Ensure all analysis and modelling undertaken by Capacity Planners/Analysts is robust and consistent in approach across MAG’s airports, reflecting industry best practice.
To develop and provide governance to MAG’s suite of analysis models used in Capacity Planning, including static models and bespoke simulation tools. To explore and evaluate new tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and insight capability.
To provide expert analytical advice to the Business on capacity issues, making recommendations on the best analytical approach to evaluate a problem.
What will make you successful in the role?
You’ll be a seasoned professional with deep expertise in airport capacity analysis and simulation modelling, ideally with significant experience using tools such as CAST Terminal. You will bring a strong technical background in aviation or transport planning, process improvement, and advanced analytical skills to deliver robust, data-driven insights that support operational and strategic decisions.
You will have a proven track record of developing and operating complex static and dynamic models, with experience in process or terminal infrastructure modelling and in terminal simulation modelling. You will be highly proficient in analytical and statistical techniques, capable of consolidating diverse and sometimes incomplete information to produce clear recommendations. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI are essential.
Beyond technical expertise, you’ll demonstrate strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, enabling you to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and communicate complex analysis effectively. You will demonstrate commercial awareness, enthusiasm for innovation, and the ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems in a dynamic airport environment.
