The role
The Head of Asset Lifecycle Engineering is responsible for leading the Asset Lifecycle function, ensuring airport assets meet operational and business requirements through effective asset performance, risk, maintenance, and investment management.
As a member of the Asset Management senior leadership team and deputy to the Asset Management Director, the role is accountable for developing and delivering capital renewals strategies and investment plans, prioritising asset replacement and maintenance activities, and leading a team of Asset Lifecycle Managers to support airport growth, operational resilience, and business efficiency.
What will make you successful in this role
- Proven experience managing significant OPEX and CAPEX budgets and delivering asset investment programmes
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance asset performance, risk, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and business growth objectives
- Experienced in developing and communicating strategic plans, influencing stakeholders at all levels, and presenting to senior leadership and board-level audiences.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with a risk-based approach to investment and asset management
- Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, with professional membership of a recognised engineering institution (e.g. IET, IMechE, MICE)
