The role

As a Senior Construction Manager, you will lead Construction Management activities across all Capital projects from GW0 to GW6, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery in a live airport environment. Working closely with Capital Delivery and Operations, you will uphold the principle of “The Invisible Builder” to minimise disruption.

 

You will be accountable for delivery across HSE, risk, cost, schedule, and quality, while acting as the key contact for Framework Contractors and overseeing on-site construction activities and logistics strategies.

 

You will also ensure compliance with CDM regulations, lead HSE assurance and site safety processes, and drive best practice and performance across the supply chain.

What will make you successful in the role?

  • Professional affiliation (eg: RICS; APM; CIOB; RIBA, ICE or similar)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of project delivery in complex, operational, safety regulated environments
  •  Experience of the construction, test and commission and handover phases of infrastructure projects across the full range of project size and complexity.
  •  Thorough, working knowledge of UK health, safety and environment legislation and its application to construction delivery.
  •  Working knowledge of NEC contract form and client/pm/supervisor obligations under the various NEC models
  •  Strong contractual/commercial awareness, with an understanding of risk apportionment/management and whole life value.
  • Experience of value engineering/value management approaches and their use to deliver best value technical solutions
  • Degree and/or Post-Graduate qualified or equivalent
